One day, while sitting in my living room, I began noticing the many family pictures throughout.
I am blessed!
I have 4 of the best kids ever and they love me.
I’m married to the most beautiful woman in the world whose heart, mind, and spirit are as remarkable as her smile.
Jasmin, the woman that saw potential in me when I was still a young kid. She knew that I would become ‘something’ once I got my mind right! Her patient love endured as I learned the true value of her love and dedication to our family. She is my Bride and time has been good to her!!!(Thank God!) I love that woman!
Latisha, is like my ‘lil homie’! We’re always laughing together. Sometimes, I go too far with my ‘jokes’ toward her and hurt her feelings. So, I’m learning to be delicate because I never want to be the reason she feels unloved. She’s talented and creative! Soon she’ll discover how to use her gifts to bless the world. When she does her rewards will prove how valuable her insights are. I love her!
Tre is a dude going places! He makes me proud. He’s focused and knows he has the potential to do whatever he wants! (It took me over 30 years to learn that!) Our relationship is improving each day. I’m glad to say we have a better understanding of each other and are developing a mutual respect for one another. I love him.
Deandre, is my day 1! He’s maturing daily (I remember coming to tears when I noticed he wasn’t a toddler in need of Daddy, anymore). Now he’s building a ministry and attempting daily to walk with God! He’s a caring kid, and I hope he maintains his compassion through the school of hard knocks life has waiting for him. Regardless, I’ll always have his back! I love him!
Anayah! I call her my princess but she’s more like the Queen that put a spell on me! She knows she’s loved and it’s so great seeing her blossom into a confident, creative, and caring little lady! She’s thoughtful and wants everyone to be happy.
The day my Dad died, she looked up at me, but my hand into both of hers and said, “It’s going to be ok, Dad”.
She was consoling me! I’ll never forget that moment, it was heartfelt and right on time!
When our time on Earth is complete, our successes and failures, wont be what I remember most. What I will be grateful for is this journey we’re taking together!
God has been good to me. In fact, He gave me my treasures early! If life can be this perfect on an imperfect planet, I can’t wait to see wait He has in store for us in Heaven!

My ultimate mission is much larger than being a writer. I’m a storyteller making generational change. One of my goals is to encourage more black males to pursue entrepreneurship. It was while pursuing this goal did I discover the best way to achieve this is by doing a phenomenal job of it myself.

The Veteran community has a tremendous need, one greater than homelessness and high incarceration rates. We are suffering from a National Suicide Epidemic and the National Veterans Affairs Healthcare System is overwhelmed and short on answers. So Veterans everywhere are taking this opportunity to find a solution to this pressing need.
That’s where we come in!
As a Charitable For-Profit VetPark fills two needs:
- We connect/fund Veterans with/in a diverse range of Alternative Therapies that have been scientifically (and experientially) proven effective in the treatment of PTSD, TBI, and Chronic anxiety/depression. All of which contributes to the Suicide Crisis.
- We make supporting this community entertainingly* simple.
